One flag a day. Type the country; a wrong guess tells you whether you were on the right continent and unlocks a hint.

How it works
The flag is drawn from the open flag-icons set at its real proportions rather than squashed into a box, which matters for Nepal, Switzerland and Qatar. All 197 countries are in the rotation, so some days are Chad and Romania days. Look at the shade.
A new flag at midnight UTC, the same one for everyone. Streaks and results stay in this browser only.
The country list is the usual 197: the 193 United Nations members plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan. Continents follow the UN geoscheme, so Russia, Cyprus and Kosovo count as Europe, Turkey and the Caucasus as Asia, and Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean as North America.
